  • Meyer 70th Anniversary

    Joseph and Florence (Kunstman) Meyer will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on June 1,2016. Joe and Florence were married June 1,1946 in Salem, Illinois by Judge Hawkins, witnesses were Alfa Meyer and Millie Beck. They both were born and raised in Iuka, Illinois. Joe was in the US Air Force from 9/1948 thru 10/1/1968, where he had been stationed in Japan and also DaNang Vietnam (1964 & 1965). After returning from Vietnam they were transferred to Lockbourne AFB now Rickenbacker. Both Joe and Florence worked at The Brown Shoe Co. in Salem, Ill which recentally burnt down. After Joe retired from the military both Joe and Florence worked for Grant Hospital. Florence retired from Grant and Joe transferred to The Glassman Shop in Groveport. They have 2 children Pat (Meyer) Carr and her husband Dave, and Linda Stokes. They have 4 grandkids, Tera (her husband Jeff), Jason, Jamie, and Kelly. They also have 3 great grandkids Mya, Jesse and Geneva. We are having a party for them on 6/4/2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, OH from 1 to 4. Come help them celebrate (no Gifts). We want to wish them a very Happy 70th Anniversary.
